Slater Week in Review & look Ahead
Hello Slater Nation!
Welcome back students and staff to the start of the 2015-2016 school year here at SLATER NATION! We are excited to start a new school year and very sure some great things will happen!
Cheer
This summer, Mrs. Ransom took a group of 12 cheerleaders, led by Captain Lexi O’Dell, to a Universal Cheer Camp in Massachusetts , where the girls worked with cheer professionals and other teams around the East Coast. The girls represented Slater Nation with pride, integrity and great skills. In the end, the girls had the honor of being named “Most Improved Squad!” This is a huge honor as their were more than 40 teams at this camp! AWESOME WORK SLATERS!
Field Hockey
Slater Field Hockey has started the season looking strong!
The Girls are led by nine seniors, who have a wealth of knowledge, game time and experience for the upcoming season! The ladies just competed in a “Play Day” at Burr & Burton Academy, where they got to showcase their talents against four other teams. The girls looked poised for a strong season!
Football
The team continued to look impressive for the upcoming season! Last week, the team worked hard vs. a strong Mill River team, and then followed it up with a strong showing at Middlebury. The team is poised for a strong season!
