The NIAAA has Student Athlete Scholarships for graduating Vermont seniors!!
The scholarships go to (1) boy and (1) girl in the state of VT who meet the following requirements:
Applicant must be a senior in high school
Applicant must have achieved at least two (2) of the following: (a) minimum of B+ average; (b)ranked in the top 25% of class; (c) ACT score of 24 or an SAT score of 1100 (Math and Reading)
Applicant must have participated in two sports for at least two years in each sport
Applicant must have earned at least one varsity letter in each of two sports

The lockers in the locker rooms are for athletes and PE students alike. However, if you are not in a PE class this semester, you must meet with Mr. Beste or Mr. Greenlese to have a locker assigned to you.
If you have belongings in the lockers currently and are NOT in a PE class, please see Mr. Beste or Mr. Greenlese immediately.
Failure to do so could result in having your belongings removed from the locker.

Fall sports will start on Thursday, August 17th! If you are interested in playing a sport this Fall and have not yet signed up, please reach out to Ali Jones.
The Fall Kick-Off meeting will be held on Thursday, August 24th @ LaPlaca Field. Anyone playing a Fall sport should be present at this meeting. There will be a barbecue hosted by our Booster Club, as well as information regarding your sports season.
The Girls Basketball team will be playing against Lyndon Institute on Wednesday at the Barre Auditorium at 8:15 PM. Tickets will be on sale this evening from 5:00-6:30 PM and Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:15-12:15 PM.
The Girls Basketball play off game Friday (3/10) vs Mt. Abraham begins at 7 pm. Tickets will go on sale at 6 pm. All FHU students and season ticket holders may purchase their tickets in the lobby. All others may purchase tickets through the side front door. Doors to the gym open at 6:30 pm.

Fair Haven will be hosting Hartford in the first round of the Boys Basketball playoffs thisWednesday, March 1st at 7:00 PM. Tickets will be on sale at5:30 PMand doors will open at6:20 PM. $6 for adults, $5 for students and seniors.
This weekend the Slaters Indoor Track Team won three State Championships! The first being the Boys Indoor Track Team, the second was Sophia Rampone for Pole Vaulting, and the third was Steven Reed in the 55 meter hurdles. Congratulations to all of these State Champs!
Due to the maximum capacity in the gym at Fair Haven being 700 people, we will be turning spectators away once we hit that capacity. To insure that you are able to attend events in the gym at Fair Haven please arrive early!
If you are interested in signing-up for the Castleton Softball Winter Clinics the brochure and sign-up link can be found below. The clinics run on Sundays from the end of January through the beginning of March. The clinics are reaching out to girls in 6th-12th grade who are interested in developing their fundamentals. The clinic is located in the Spartan Athletic Facility (Shape Gym.) The coaches and players at Castleton University will be instructing athletes in position specific training as well as hitting. Tuition for the clinics can be paid at the door, or in the online sign-up link below.
Fair Haven Union High School will once again be joining the fight against cancer by hosting and competing in the Coaches Vs. Cancer basketball games. The games will take place on Thursday, February 9th for the boys teams at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Thursday, February 21st for the girls teams, also at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
For these games Fair Haven Union High School and Otter Valley will be working together in the fight against cancer. All of the proceeds from this game will be benefitting the American Cancer Society, the official sponsor of more birthdays.
All fans are encouraged to wear teal to support both schools, but to also show support for the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative.
