Week in Review 3/2/15

Hello Slater Nation!


Last week saw many of our students in action in many different events!  These students represented Slater Nation with pride, honor, class and in many cases; with a fierce competitive edge!


In competing in an Irish Dance competition, FHUHS student, Andrea Testor won FIRST PLACE in her Hornpipe Dance at the Broesler Feis in New Jersey. Slater Nation is very proud. Great job Andrea!



Congrats to the following students who represented Slater Nation in the New England, Indoor Track & Field Competition in Boston, Massachusetts this weekend!  

Ian Knapp, Issac Nichols, Will Reed & Josh Melen & Megin Eaton, Austin Beauregard & Mike Briggs represented FHUHS!  Great work!






Fair Haven Union High Bowling!

This weekend, 3/1/15, FHUHS students, Jordan Phillips & Cody Seaver won first place in the New York State Bowling championship!  Cody and Jordan have now qualified to go to the National youth bowling championship in Syracuse, New York! Awesome work, Gents; Slater Nation is Proud of you!

Drama one Acts!

Congrats to the Break a Leg Society for two awesome shows this weekend in their tuneup for the Vermont State Drama Festival in Chester, Vermont Next Saturday at Green Mountain High School!

Middlebury Hockey!
Middlebury Union High school advanced to the Division 1 Girls Hockey Finals this Tuesday 3/3/15 at 8pm!  This is significant to FHUHS as the team has two AWESOME Slaters!  Julia & Angela Carone both start for the tigers and are looking to bring home the 2nd consecutive D1 crown!  Congrats ladies and Slater Nation is rooting for you!  Julia scored the game winning goal with 53 seconds left in regulation!  

Semi-Final Girls Basketball!
Congrats to the Varsity Lady Slaters for their great season and advancing to the State Varsity Girls Basketball Semi-Final!  In a thrilling game, the Lady Slaters fell a bit short,  but we at Slater Nation are so very proud of you and Coach Kyle Wilson for
a WONDERFUL SEASON!





Wrestling

Congrats to Travis Morrissette for placing 6th in the State Wrestling meet over the weekend, wrestling in the 170 pound weight class!  Slater Nation is Proud of you!




Coach Williams & Mill River

Congrats to Fair Haven Union High School Annex Director, Mr. Keith Williams & the Mill River Minutemen in their State Title in Girls Varsity Basketball!  Mill River defeated Lake Region 50-46 in the Championship game!
